stew290
Hello chaps. Do any of you guys know of a manufacturer of 1/350th and 1/400th aircraft, apart from WEM? Thanks in advance. Stewart
louiex2
What era? Trumpeter has about 50 different sets from WWII to modern. Tamiya, Pit Road, Bronco and Airfix also have aircraft in 1/350 scale. Most are carrier based.
louiex2
Not sure about 1/400. Edited August 21, 2013 by louiex2
stew290
Thanks Louie.I've got two choices it seems:- scratchbuild a 1/400th air group, or convert a 1/400th ship to 1/350th.Easy peasy!
bootneck
Hi Stewart, you still haven't mentioned which era. Do you have a specific carrier in mind? Mike
Jockster
You could also look at l'arsenal.
stew290
Sorry Mike.60s Royal Navy I'm looking for; in particular Vixens, Scimitars, Buccs, Skyraiders, Wessex.I know, I know; I'll be lucky, but it's worth an ask, eh?Stewart
bootneck
Hi Stewart, no probs. I was just thinking about the Heller 1:400 HMS Illustrious and Collossus kits whether there were any aircraft that could have been used from that. I think they are all WW2 (hence my query) so looks like I can't help there. Cheers Mike
