dolphin38
This is HMS Protector flight Whirlwind HAR1 using the 1/72nd Italeri UH19A Rescue Chickasaw and Rotorcraft HAR 1 brass etch and white metal conversion, I substituted the winch supplied for one more suited to a HAR1. Also on checking the internet I think the Penguin decals on the nose should be facing each other rather than as supplied. Many Thanks, Willy

dolphin38
The decals are supplied with the conversion, very nicely printed and thin.

Martian
Love the Whirlwind in this scheme. Your model reminds me of the first kit I ever built, the old Airfix Whirlwind, which came with these markings. Love it! Martin

Rodders154
Verrry nice!! Where did you get the decals? Where did you get the kit? I can only find it for greatly exaggerated prices.
Viking
First kit I ever built also, the old Airfix Whirlwind! Cracking job there, looks really smart in the colour scheme. Cheers John

dolphin38
Where did you get the kit? I can only find it for greatly exaggerated prices. Its one I had in the stash, I think I got it of Ebay a while ago, they seem to be quite rare now which would account for the inflated prices, I've got one left in the stash which will end up as a HAR 9 eventually.
dolphin38
Nice job Willy, I've got that conv set & its nice to know the decals look good as they do. Steve. The decals are good its just the problem with the Penguin markings for the nose which lets them down.
stevehnz
Without looking I'm guessing they're all the same way around on the sheet. I think its might have to be one of those if you don't tell anyone neither will I sort of things. Steve.

DanSAR95
This is a lovely build. It looks very industrial in this livery and you can easily imagine it hovering above the bitter north sea. Great stuff.
