Mike
It's a busy month for the smaller releases from Meng, as they've announced their new accessory set in 1:35. Water bottles and beer bottles in injection moulded styrene, no less! Here are a couple of teaser pics - and it's interesting to note that the water bottles include the big water bottles for the top of office coolers. SPS-010 Water Bottles for Vehicle/Diorama This 1/35 scale water bottle model kit contains 12 bottles including one type of small water bottle and one type of big bottle. These realistic bottles are made of high-quality light blue transparent plastic. They can be put onto vehicles like modern tanks and military armored vehicles and can also be applied to figure models and dioramas to highly improve details and reality. It’s the best choice for adding highlights to your models. SPS-011 Beer Bottles for Vehicle/Diorama This 1/35 scale beer bottle model kit contains 16 bottles including 4 types of beer bottles. These realistic bottles are made of high-quality light green transparent plastic. They can be put onto vehicles like modern tanks and military armored vehicles and can also be applied to figure models and dioramas to highly improve details and reality. It’s the best choice for making your models more interesting. No mention of whether there will be any labels included, but I'm sure they'd be easy to fabricate yourself if there aren't. DarksideCowboy
Blimey they do look pretty! Don't know if I'll ever need such a thing but they are nice! Are Meng a relatively new company or are they old timers? I had a look at the Arab/Middle Eastern family posted elsewhere on the site & they looked good too! Mike
They've been round for a year or two now. Came out of the blue and started producing great and unusual models. Works for me!
richellis
I wish they would up-scale some of there stuff to 1:
Mike
I can't imagine that being very lucrative for them, somehow
DarksideCowboy
I wish they would up-scale some of there stuff to 1:24 Oh such possibilities! I'm thinking a battered American pickup of some sort with some 1:24 beer bottles in the passenger footwell/back of the thing...
richellis
Yep, exactly. There are masses of Car builders in 1:24, along side the Trucks, pickups, that's a big market. Some of those bottles would look good in a cab/ car. How big are they? Wonder if they would suit a Truck Cab?
