Caution Wake Turbulence
Pictures of the forthcoming kit: http://www.revell.de/?id=1036 Andrew
tomprobert
Looks rather nice... I'll be treating myself no doubt! The engines look exquisite. Is it me or does the straight window line (unlike the A300 A310, A330 and A340 which rises up towards the rear) make this look very 'un-Airbus like?' Still a fine looking aeroplane though... EmiratesFTW
Very mixed feelings about the actual plane, but nevertheless sure to be a fantastic kit, so much detail.
pinky coffeeboat
Agreed with all. Great looking model and I know for sure I'll buy quite a few. Hopefully the decal manufacturers will offer loads of sheets for the customer airlines. When's it due out in the shops?
Caution Wake Turbulence
When's it due out in the shops? October supposedly, although I wouldn't be surprised if it were a bit later...
Caution Wake Turbulence
I hope, having gone to the trouble of including clear windows, they remember to include the frames on the decal sheet. Models without them don't really look right... small details make the difference, I think! Andrew
George D.
Ohh... Clear windows and stand... Nice!
T.Moore1521
I was kind of hoping that Revell would've moulded the wings and wingbox similar to the 787. I find the wings look much better like that(787) but its nothing sandpaper and putty cant fix.
Jessica
That pebbly texture makes me think of Zvezda toolmaking. I wonder whether this is a shared mould?
T.Moore1521
If Zvedza isn't releasing an A350 kit do you think they could have made the mould and sold it to Revell?
ABeck
It is an indigenous design !
Jennings Heilig
Revell's product development guy told me there would be no more cooperation with Zvezda. That's why they did their own 747-8. As for the pebbly texture - keep in mind this is an early test shot, so it's not uncommon for the final polishing of the mold cavities not to be complete when they're squeezed. I really don't think Revell do themselves any favors by showing poorly built test shots on their web site... feifeitim
I agree with you Jennings. I think I'd want to showcase how well my model fits together for potential customers, rather than leave them wondering how they are going to sort out the windscreen fit! T.Moore1521
i will be buying 4, now i need to figure out how to convert it into a -100 to do in BA :-) You and me both. 2 for a -1000(Emirates Livery), and 2 -900's(Qatar and maybe United). EmiratesFTW
-900 will be alot easier than -1000, because the -1000 has many external changes (not just fuse length)
T.Moore1521
I know:( but hey im always up for a challenge. I dont know how we can make the wings bigger though. I guess we'll tackle that when the model is released.
madaboutmodels
The kit is a -900 So the -1000 will need a stretch and a 777 like gear.. -800 just needs a lump cutting out.
