thepureness
Hi everyone, This is my 2nd build I've posted on the forums, just finished it today. I decided to try my luck at weathering as I've not really gone down that route before, was aiming to get a dirty looking bird, and she does look dirty, maybe too much. This was also my first attempt at doing exhaust weathering, which I think kind of looks ok, I'm kind of a beginner/novice so any comments would be awesome. triumphfan
Looks good to me. The weathering looks quite subtle compared to some I have seen. Good work. Steve.
Nick Belbin
I agree with Steve - doesn't look over the top by any means. Nice! Nick
Work In Progress
You've worked successfully to the golden rule of weathering, which is stop before you think you've done enough, and that's just right. When you get right down into the detail it is ever so easy to end up with something which is excessive when you pull back and see the big picture. I'd say that's a good balance on your model.
Alpha Delta 210
I agree with all the comments above - the weathering doesn't look overdone to me. I always see the Beau' as a bit of an un-sung hero and you've done a great job with yours.

keith in the uk
Yes have to aggree with the other comments , weathering looks fine and nicely done I would tone down the collector rings and the exhausts though as these seem a little bit on the bright side also wingtip lights should be Red to port wing , Green to starboard.

Spitfire31
Concurring with other posters, I think the weathering looks mostly spot on! It's quite effective in adding variety to that otherwise uniform livey. The exhaust collector rings and pipes look a bit like Granny's polished copper pots, though, and could use a substantial tone-down, as keith in the uk already pointed out. Good work! Kind regards, Joachim
