Arniec
Hi Guys, I will be building a Hasegawa 1/48 A-4E/F into a "Blue angels" bird. This build will go with me to Telford later this year. I t will have a place on the table of the Aerobatic Display Teams SIG in Telford. I will put later on some pictures of the sprues and content of the box. This one is already started, but I believe well within the 25% range. Cheers, Edited October 27, 2013 by Arniec

Arniec
Thanxs Guys, I will try to put up some Pictures this evening. Luckely the build starts tomorrow. It's bloody hot over here in Arnhem today. The temprature will go up today to about 37C degrees. But tomorrow it will cool down and i can go to my modelroom aka Sauna. Hi Arnold good to see you on a build again look forward to your build Les O, Les you should look more around in the GB's. lol This will be the third build started in 3 weeks. Arniec
So here are the pictures. As you can see this is already started. I have put the wing together and done some work on the inside of the cockpit for the replacement one (Aires). I have also cut of some of the parts, but nothing is painted yet. I think this will be well within the 25% rule. The decals are from a Monogram A-4 set that I got from a friend (Thanxs René). The decals and Aires cockpit set are the only things I use from the aftermarket stuff. The changes to make it into a "Blue Angels" version will be done by myself. Enough talking, here are the pictures. the box content. the decals the cockpitset (Aires) Cheers, Edited August 2, 2013 by Arniec

Jens
Please note that the BA A-4Fs had the larger/bulged main intakes (á la the A-4M). Jens
Arniec
Thanx Jens for the info. However I don't think that I will be Kitbash this one. 2 Hasegawa kits into one is a little bit to expensive for my taste. I will use the original parts for that. After finishing my Hellcat in the Splendid cats GB, I will consentrate my building on this one. I will start it tomorrow. Cheers,
Jens
Steel Beach has issued some copies of the Super Fox/Mike intakes if you want to go that route. I understand why you don't want to kitbash an A-4F and A-4M. Jens
Arniec
Hi Guys, I have done some work today on the cockpit. I will do some more tomorrow and hopefully I can paint that tomorrow or Friday. Before I start painting I will make some pictures. Cheers,
Arniec
Here are the promissed pictures of the cockpit. I have first done the PE for the seat this morning. after that the painting could begin. I painted the pit in Grey (Gunze H317). I hope to do some detailed painting this weekend. Here is a foto of a dryfit of the major parts. The cockpit before some paint. And after some paint. There is almost no difference. This is howfar I have got today. Arniec
Hi Guys, Here is a update of what I have done sins last time. I have detail painted the cockpit and putted it into one of the fuselage halfs. I still need to paint the exhaust and the engine inlet before I can close the fuselage. Here are some pictures. And finaly the pit into the fuselage. This is how far I have got today. Cheers,

Arniec
Hi guys, I have finaly closed the fuselage. Now I have to do loads of things before I can put on the wings. When I put on the wings I will take some pictures. Cheers,
Arniec
Here are some pictures after putting the wings on. I leave the ailerons of till after painting. That makes it a little easier. I have already painted some Blue underneath the air inlets for the engine. It will be impossible to paint that later on. The paint I have used is from Xtra colour. I have also painted a small piece of plastic card so I can later test the decals and see if the colour of the decals changes. The reason for this is that I want to paint some of the yellow stripes myself. Cheers, Edited September 23, 2013 by Arniec
