Harrierpilot Posted July 28, 2013 Share Posted July 28, 2013 The No.41 squadron Tonkas was flight testing them back in february 2006 has their crews were talking to the F3 ones. ghb180658 Posted July 29, 2013 Share Posted July 29, 2013 Agreed.....Seems strange that they took so long to be cleared on the GR4 Andy Integration of ASRAAM onto the GR4 was first proposed around 98/99 as it would have effectively allowed the removal of the Sidewinder from the UK inventory. The quote from BAE to do a basic integration was prohibitive so it will have taken that long to either find money in the programme, get a sensible quote, or do the integration as a UOR (probably for Libya).Geoff Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
