Italeri 1/48 F-16A "Diana" Kit - Your Thoughts?

It's not a bad kit and the construction of the intake is certainly a lot easier to handle than the hasegawa one!

There were a couple of these built during the F-16 GB last year,

Hope these help :)

D'oh - the GB.....I'd forgotten about that; the search engine didn't ping those up for me. Thanks, Danny!

I built the Revell 'Tigermeet' boxing of that kit a few years ago.

Not a bad kit but a bit basic compared to the Tamiya and Kinetic kits.

Only problem I did find is for some reason mine did appear to sit a little bit nose high.

The revell and italieri kits are the same mould, it's a fair kit, poor on detalis, unlike falcon's mine didn't sit beacuse I used a resin seat (fully recomended) also if you can get a hold on the aires wheels bay and the exhaust the build will rise to really good standard.

Cheers guys!

Not so concerned regarding the detail - I have a resin seat I can insert, and a pilot figure. I really bought it as a canvas for the paint scheme - should look really nice. I might do intake and exhaust covers if those areas look like they'll let the side down.

Thanks everyone!

I bought the original NATO MLU edition. IIRC, the Italeri kit doesn't have the correct number of exhaust petals on the jet pipe, if memory serves correct, it has an even number of petals (14?), when it should have an odd number (15?).

I bought an Aries replacement to use on mine (when I get around to it)!

I'm not at home ATM so I can't check the details for sure but you get the gist. I don't know if they ever corrected it on later releases.

Is this the one with two versions of the lady in question? Option 1 is the real version and Option 2 is where *ahem* both 'assets' are covered.

I'm blushing now.
