foxy
Yep its a nice bit o wood effect there and the pictures show it . Well done Kev mate Once you have all inplace, the patch will not show up so 'pro-nounced', but will give it all depth. Cheers foxy
longshanks
Morning all , Just a small update but a big step forward for me Phootetch . . . Managed to put together the magazine holders using a combination of solder and superglue. No bits broken and no loss of temper but it was a close run thing. How the hell you guys work at 1/350 or 1/700 I shudder think, Must be where the term headbangers came from Cheers Kev Edited February 7, 2018 by longshanks
Ex-FAAWAFU
If PE really isn't your bag, then all I can say is you've made a beautifully neat job of it. Good stuff! Edited February 16, 2014 by Ex-FAAWAFU
John_W
What are they? Look like Easyjet drinks trollies... Nicely done though. Have recently come in to contact with PE. It either goes PING! Or sticks to my fingers/tweezers rather than the model.
longshanks
Thanks Gents but you should see the mess I'm making of the 20mm Breda cannon. . . . Cheers Kev
longshanks
A major step forward today . . . . I've finally stuck the deck down - lets hope I've remembered to put everything inside. Note I've added an engineer ! I must say I'm pleased with the amount of detail visible through the various hatches especially with the lights on ! Thanks for looking Cheers Kev Edited February 7, 2018 by longshanks

longshanks
Some progress made today . . . . they still need to be blended in but the boats definately looking more ship shape I dont fancy bouncing across the waves at 40 knots with the 'dangly' arrangement for supporting the torpedoes !! Thanks for looking Cheers Kev Edited February 7, 2018 by longshanks

Dads203
Not seen this for a while Kev, but all I'll say is ... Fantastic work fella, Not too shabby for your first plastic kit build for a decade or two with you learning a few new skills. Hard to think that this is your first ever build using an airbrush. Long may the learning curve continue mate :-) Dan

justin1980
That it looking superb! I still love the fully modelled interior, don't know if you have been asked before are you leaving the deck removable?
longshanks
Some further window dressing / clutter Caulking tools Justin the deck is not removable - impractical. Hence the lighting enabling a peek through the various openings. Cheers Kev Edited February 7, 2018 by longshanks
