Dads203
Hornet head MK2, the first one ended up going down the sink...Doh that will teach me I think this one is slightly better, although I'm not sure on one of his eyes ... Trying not have that acid trip look is really difficult... Please enjoy Dan
Dads203
Update time on the figure, since my last update I've stripped the head again, wasn't quite happy with his eyes TBH, I've been working on the body with just blocking in the main colours, a lot more work has to be done at this stage with his jacket and pants, I'm not convinced i've used the right colour for his pants, so I have ordered more Vallejo paints which should be the right shades. some subtle high lights added at this point and later tonight I'll start adding some of the shadows to the deeper folds in the clothing. Head has been repainted again, just his eyes to get right now. The unpainted patch is so I can glue on the radio once it's been done. Dads203
Thanks Chaps, I've painted in his trousers to a closer colour, had to use Tamiya paints which was bit worrying as they really don't brush well, managed to get it looking okay for brush work. I used some Tamiya Paint retarder which works very well indeed. Cheers Dan

lentorpe
Hi Dads203, 1.- GREAT work - congratulations. 2.- This question sounds stupid but I can't distinguish if the idler wheel has rubber or not. I bet it hasn´t but I am not sure.I have tried at preserved Stuart walkarounds but either it is all under paint, or there is no rubber anywhere including the road wheels (fire?) so the doubt persists. On the other hand the US had no rubber shortage and it would help with vibrations... ????? Thanks in advance
Badder
lovely little diorama there. I'm hoping to build a grass applicator from a 'Bug Zapper' (electronic fly swat) but my local Poundland doesn't stock them. There's a few vids on You-tube showing you how to make them for less than £5 and they work just as well as the £100 ones.

Thanks in advance Cheers guys, this one is from a few years ago, the rear idler is painted in Vallejo oily steel, the pictures really don't show it, my poor photography I'm afraid.
