theplasticsurgeon
A previous Wildcat of mine is this Airfix VIAnd my US Navy model built from the Academy kit. Definitely worthy of a repaint with my unused decals. Edited August 25, 2013 by theplasticsurgeon
Vulcanicity
Great choice! I think that the Martlet V was equivalent to the General Motors FM-1 Wildcat, which unlike the F-4F4 had four wing guns, so you might have to fill one of the gun ports. Mind you, Martlets seem to be a minefield, so I could be talking b.s! If you haven't seen it this is a great reference: http://www.clubhyper.com/reference/wildcatfaaba_1.htm Good luck, and welcome aboard!

stevehnz
I like that plenty. For all its faults, real & imagined, the Academy Wildcat builds up nicely & looks the part, certainly the way you've done it. Great scheme. Steve
