1/72 Dragon Sherman M4A3

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Sweet little Sherman, one thing impressive is that you can't tell the scale, from the pics, which is the mark of nice model.

One nit-pick : just a touch of black in the gun muzzle and that will be perfect.

Best

I am presently at my dad's house, limited modelling equipmet and no airbrush so I am doing (ie, struggling with) my first 1/72 armour in many years.

... and I have to say: Respect!

Did you mask and spray that intricate camouflage? The chipping and discolouration is amazing.

Thanks for feedback, Peter.

Yes the camoflage was masked and sprayed.

I started painting the entire hull olive drab.

Next I cut some pieces from 'Uhu Tac' adhesive pads which can be cut and shaped to cover the areas to remain olive drab.

Then, the model was sprayed with tan brown.

Finally chipping was made with soft pencil.

Weathering includes artist oils and pastel chalks.
