The dragonborn
Hi. i will be doing it OOB as the VF-102 50th anniversary bird as on the box art: Major parts: Rest of the kit: Decals, this is the early printed batch so the nose band was missing, hence the small sheet that i got from Revell(Thanks). The dragonborn
fuselage assembled: Nasty seams on the underside : Intake: Nose and wing tips fitted (stabs are dryfitted) : Seams filled and sanded: Edit: canopy before masking: The seam was scraped off, sanded and polished with toothpaste, then it was coated with Vallejo gloss varnish(Great stuff). Now there is only a slight distortion where the seam was : Next up is canopy masking. Edited July 14, 2013 by The dragonborn

The dragonborn
had some paint peeling off with the masking tape that stalled the project for a month (no pics sorry) the clear coat on the canopy did not like the tape either so i had to clean it : but i have been working hard the last week or so to get it done by the deadline

Dazzio
Looks class and just in the nick of time too! When you used the Vallejo gloss to fix the canopy. Was it brushed on or dipped?? Kind Regards Dazz
The dragonborn
Thank you Dazz. Yes i brushed the gloss on the canopy and all the red areas, also the diamonds on the spine was masked and painted because i botched the decal. The greys are Lifecolor sealed with LC satin varnish. GBU-24 and 31s is from a Kinetic f-16 as is the AIM-9Xs, HARM's are the kit items painted in vallejo grey primer only(looks like fs36492) i will get some more pictures later Edit: pics Enjoy : I hope you all like them Dragon Edited September 2, 2013 by The dragonborn 1
