Stu1
Hi Foxy, I'm a newbie, but I was so inspired looking at your work that I went out and bought my own Airfix kit. I had hoped to use your "work in progress" photos as a reference, to try and attempt some of the modifications and detailing you incorporated but all these photos have gone from the website, leaving me in the dark. I was hoping that you might be able to tell me if your "work in progress" photos were posted elsewhere or if there is any way I could possibly get a hold them? Kind Regards Stuart
foxy
Hi Stu1. deleted from photobucket . If you have any questions or want pictures, I have saved all on my mobile harddrive. The project was an experiment to see how I could improve the Airfix kit, some success, but it turned out bad in many judges rule when shown. So I deleted it from view. Some pictures of the finished ship. In Diorama. Foxy
brianthemodeller
What were the problems in the judges eyes?
foxy
Hi Brian. That I was not tied up properly to the quay and gave me third place. foxy
brianthemodeller
Oh. Not a lot you can say to that really. I suppose they are entitled to their opinions... If this was third, the other two must have been museum pieces?!?
seadog
Ah.... yeah, I can see that. The little coaster I was on was moored with four lines: fore, aft and two springs - they run the opposite way, from fore to aft and aft to fore. There should be a diagram somewhere...
