MichaelSatin
Still a little unsure about which one I'll be doing, but it will either be Ritchie's Mk.I in which he shot down an Fw 190 to become an ace or Speak's Mk.II off Indomitable covering Okinawa. Note the True Details wheels, one thing Eduard left out of the kit (the original ones are too small). Unfortunately I only have one set, have to find another soon. Well, I seem to have made a basic choice what to make, now to see if I can stick with it! Michael
SaintsPhil
Not seen this kit before so this will be interesting, how does it match up to the other Eduard kits?
Mozzy19
Not seen this kit before so this will be interesting, how does it match up to the other Eduard kits? It's basically the F6F-3 and F6F-5 in a dual combo boxing with all the etch for each kit like a Profipack boxing. I'm building at least one of them for the Splendid Cats G.B so I'll be following with interest. Sean
Stephen
Use Ultracast wheels, they're great. Stephen
MichaelSatin
Some minor progress. I've decided on the Mk.I and have started painting the cockpit green and lt. gray. Hopefully some cockpit build shots later today.
MichaelSatin
OK, here's the cockpit. Hard to get a good shot of the instrument panel. I already fixed the flat gun sight glass. So far so good! Michael Edited July 21, 2013 by MicahelSatin

MichaelSatin
Well, time is flying but I'm not. Still, I've got a three days off ahead, let's see what I can do. Pre-shading done: I'm also doing a Kinetic 1/48 Kfir for the Splendid Cats GB. Now, I'm used to thinking of modern jet fighters as being a good deal larger than their WWII piston engined counterparts. Well, maybe not so much: Just an interesting comparison. Both great kits but it remains to be seen if I can get them both done in time. Michael
SaintsPhil
Nice work, so is the Kfir small or the hellcat big, or a little of both?!
John_W
Nice one. This is a lovely kit to build. The etch really finishes it well.
