Kallisti
But they've been doing that sort of things for years in the movies!!!! This is a great step forward and I am really pleased to see progress coming from private space enterprises rather than relying on beauracratically bloated NASA
oggy4624
If I remember correctly, MC Donnel Douglas did it 25 or so years ago with the DCX delta clipper. When bubba took over MDC they buried the DCX as the recently bought Rockwell and it's space shuttle prog, was a far bigger cash cow ,tax dollar wise, I wish Space X all the very best for the future and I hope they bury bubba in the space business. Boeing- stifling innovation!
GordonD
The DC-X was fine when McDonnell-Douglas were testing it but when NASA took over things went downhill. The final flight went wrong when one of the landing legs failed to deploy and the craft toppled over at touchdown. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DC-X
