kiwitrogg
Very nice ! An inspiration. I've got the same aircraft to build in 1/48th also using the Kits World Decals. I was a little unsure if I'd chosen the right aircraft to build but having seen yours I think I have. I hope mine comes up half as good as yours ! Nigel Heath
Very nice job there, how did you do the chipping?
Roman Schilhart
Very nice job there, how did you do the chipping? To replicate the paint chips on the outer left wing, I dipped an old brush in Vaseline creme and covered the spots to remain Aluminium. Layers of faded Olive Drab were sprayed over. With a moist tissue, the Olive Drab was wiped away after it had dried out, revealing the "chipped aluminium" effect. This is a very safe technique that does not affect the paint underneath.

Work In Progress
The Revell kit is not my favourite B-17G kit in 1/72, but what you've done with this one makes it one of the best 1/72 B-17 models I've seen. I very much like the painting and weathering - excellent work.
HL-10
That is a fantastic B-17! The worn, chipped effect is incredibly realistic, and I love the technique you used, I will be trying that out! And what nostalgia with the Airfix box art too. Great model, well done!
