Radpoe Spitfire
Just a quicky, but I'm building a 1/48th Wellington as a Gamston based aircraft- I.e. one of the aircraft on the Italeri decals sheet. I think the codes are Y9 - J, but don't know the aircraft serial. Can anyone with the kit please let me know. Thanks, Adrian

Panoz
Actually the codes for the Gamston based aircraft are Y7-J and serial is HE575. Good thing you're not building it because it's sorry pants...(Couldn't resist )
Radpoe Spitfire
Oops, Just a bit of a slip, done on my mobile- small keys, big thumb - hadn't noticed the misplaced t, mind you it made me smile when I saw the reply, smiles. Maybe its because I'm often mistaken as being a Yorkshireman, due to my accent- I s'pose I should've said t' Italeri (the Italeri) 1/72 scale etc. As for the codes etc, that were t'one I was after!!! Lol, So many thanks to you both for your replies. Regards Adrian
Seahawk
With this particular kit I think Sh a more appropriate prefix than T. Not MPM's or Italeri's finest hour. There are lots of frustrations with this kit: the most important one I can think of is that the fuselage under the rear turret needs to be cut down quite substantially if you want the 4-gun rear turret to fit. Cheers, Mark P.S. Apols for not posting the pic but for some reason it came up as an invalid file format every time I tried to save it. Not only have you given me access to a very helpful photo, but it's in colour- bonus! Sorry if I sound over exited, but I worked at the airfield in the Budge years, so have wanted to build somthing representing the war years. I could have easily done 1/72, but when Trumpeter came out with a Mk III I knew a Mk X was achievable. The other thing I like about the photo is I may be able to pinpoint exactly where it was taken from at Gamston. So once again, many thanks for the web details. Regards Adrian. mhaselden
You're very welcome Adrian - it's what Britmodeller is all about. None of those nonsensical "which was the best aircraft" threads and precious little antagonism...simply a bunch of people sharing knowledge about the subject(s) they love. I've had so much help from people on B-M over the years that it's nice to pay some back every once in a while. Cheers,Mark
