ozz Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 i have been searching fo ideas for a Dio to do with my first resin figures, and found this pic........think it turned out quite well. figures are from wee friends school is scratch built with clay and balsa wood. took about three weeks to do and 5 seconds to drop on the floor this afternoon....AAAARRRGGGGGG!!!!!!!! oh well repair job tonight. hope its in the right section..Dio/Resin/Scratch buit?
colin Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Very nice, you've captured the moment from the picture well
Sgt.Squarehead Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Yup, you've captured it very well.....What scale is it please? I wouldn't repair the damage too perfectly.....Call it a bit of 'artistic' (should that be 'kinetic') lisence. 1
ozz Posted June 28, 2013 Author Posted June 28, 2013 It is 1/35, all my figures and armour are in that scale, on the occasion i will make planes in 1/48, anything smaller is just to much for my ageing eyes...lol
foxy Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Yep. Nice build and effective poses by the para's. Nice to see a picture spark a Diorama. Cheers foxy
billybookcase Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Nice brickwork there, and the figure's stance looks very natural. Any close-ups of the figures? BB
ozz Posted July 7, 2013 Author Posted July 7, 2013 This is the only close up i have at present. as i said befor, these are my first atempt a resin figures and i think i might be a convert. Although there is a big price diference. normaly i would pay five to eight punds for a set of plastic figures, these are twelve quid each! with postage.......ouch! any comment or critique welcome.
ozz Posted July 17, 2013 Author Posted July 17, 2013 repainted these befor i start on the repair work and finishing the dio, just need to matt them. I know on the price right! would like to add one more figure to this as there are a couple of options that would fit well, but on a very tight buget at present.
