Daniel Cox
Hi All, Here is a picture of eight 464 Squadron (Sqn), Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Mosquito aircraft, there are also six Typhoons and one Spitfire in the picture plus a Lancaster from 9 Sqn Royal Air Force. Amongst other areas of interest is the fact that the censors have rather crudely visited their wrath upon this picture. Cheers, Daniel.
JasonC
Interesting. I wonder what was on the fin LE's that needed obscuring. Jason
The original Kit Builder
Pitot tubes were often obscured by the censor who actually had no idea what the workings of an aircraft were. Anything, therefore, that looked like an aerial was visited by the brush of obliteration. I for one, would really like to know what they saw fit to blank out in its entirety over on the right. I wouldn't mind betting on a glider. Edited June 24, 2013 by Kit builder
pacificmustang
great photo daniel. Thanks for posting. Did you ever come to any conclusion on RAAF Beaufighter Ic's? Were they used by the RAAF in RAF DFS or TSS? Regards Bruce
