Pauly Block
I've never served in the forces so am getting a bit jealous of some of the type listed on here. My flights have just been the 'usual' touristy things that include: Boeing 757s with Britannia, Airtours, Air Transat, Thomas Cook,BA, Continental, Boeing 767s with Britannia, First choice, Kenya Airways Aibus A320 with Monarch Boeing 737s with BA , US Airways & Kenya Airways Airbus A300 with Kenya Airways BAE 146 with Air France and Aer Lingus Boeing 747 - 400with both BA & Virgin Atlantic Lockheed L1011 with Air Transat The best flights that I have taken were with Qantas from Heathrow to Singapore and back on the Airbus A380 - much quieter and smoother flights than on any of the 747s that I have flown on. I didn't use the overheads but I think they were as you say. LN-DYZ & LN-NGA were the two aircraft, Not very old. Barneydhc82
I haven't counted some of the lists but I do not bother with airliners that have transported this old butt around for the last 78 years. I have flown, either dual or PIC, 89 different aircraft with the oldest being a DH-53 Hummingbird and the fastest being the CF-104D. I've also flown dual the Goodyear Blimp and PIC about a dozen different gliders such as the SGU 1-19, TG-2, -3. BG6, Flauvel AV36 And I'm still active. My local company got theirs in December 2012 (Luxair, LX-LGU) I haven't been on it but family. they said its 1000000x better than the standard cabin.. Giorgio N
I don't count airliners as flying, tis a high altitude bus ride. Love this one ! Unfortunately I've only been on bus rides...... B727 B737 old and new (I remember a 200 and many 800 for sure, can't remember what other variants) B747 every variant B757 (only a couple of times, but maybe my favourite) B767 B777 A-300 A-310 A-319/320/321 (all variants) A-330 A-340 MD-80 Bae-146 (think they were both 200 but not sure) ERJ-145 ATR-72 DHC-8 DH-89 (leisure flight) Bell 206 And I'm sure there are a couple others I can't remember... Airlines I've had the pleasure or misfortune of flying with have been: Alitalia Air France Air Berlin Air One Eurofly Air UK British Airways FlyBE Buzz Aer Lingus Ryan Air Easy Jet KLM Iberia Cathay Pacific Emirates Etihad Qantas Virgin Blue JAL Singapore TWA Delta American Airlines US Airways And a greek charter I have forgotten the name, might have been Athena or something similar, most probably long gone. Again there might be a couple minor ones I've forgotten All in all a fairly standard selection of types. Considering that I fly 20-30 times a year with peaks of 40, it must mean I end up going always the same places with the same airlines
