Michaelvk
Here we go, lads and lasses.. A Snatch adorned with the freshly released airfix/eduard PE set as well as a set of gaso.line wheels. I's all mostly loosely stacked together, being held by friction and good intentions.. So far I've yet to add the second bumperette, amongst others.. And a nice, new, 300tdi lump..

Michaelvk
Thanks.. The PE and resin wheels really help make it look a lot better.. It helps it's a nice kit to start with..

simmerit
Thanks lads.. It helps having the real thing parked outside, simmerit.. 300 tdi not a V8 though. try this for good measure!!
Michaelvk
That would, technically, make it a vixen (like the airfix kit..)..
simmerit
do you want some inside shots or can you get your own?
Michaelvk
Where are my manners, by the way.. What a lovely Landy you have there! I -almost- bought one, but decided the V8 was a bit too thirsty for an every day drive, so I decided on an XD-TUL.. Interior I'm not too worried about. The Airfix kit is pretty good, and the cab is Wolf/Tithonus spec, but I'm always curious about the innards of Land Rovers ..that being said, I've yet to see a good image of the tread plate for the top gunner.. SeanM
That PE looks great on it and a nice clean build so far. How did you do (or where did you get) that barracuda?
Michaelvk
Sean, that's a combination of CAD and access to a laser cutter. I'm getting a sheet of the revised pattern done tomorrow.
SeanM
Will be interested in seeing how it comes out when painted. I'm surprised none of the AM crowd have come out with it in 1/48 yet
Michaelvk
Probably because it's a pain in the rear to make.. And there's only one or two subjects that require it.. Here's a test with the new parrern.
