nionios_v
Hi guys! This is my latest project . I added rivets as usual and nothing more . I preshaded the model using brush and black pigment ( we use them in Greece to paint Greek Orthodox Icons ) and then sprayed a grey colour which is a mix of my own . I hope you like it so far . Thanks for looking
Nigel Heath
The rivets look incredible, how have you done that? Nigel
nionios_v
Thanks! A simple needle and two days of work. I nearly lost my eyesight...
nionios_v
A little more progress ... the squiggle is freehand but with brush and pigment not by airbrush
woody37
Wow, that looks great, how did you do the squiggles without the airbrush ?
Liney
That is tremendous....makes me want to drop the Airfix Sea King I'm doing and jump onto the Me 262. I have both revell day and night fighters - for when I can actually put these pieces of plastic together properly! And yes, how DID you do those squiggles?
jeewee
great paint job, like woody said could you please explain how you did this? is that the same pigment that can be used for weathering? jw
nionios_v
I used black pigment ( this kind of pigment is used for the painting of Greek Orthodox icons ) with a brush . I used it like we use pastel chalks , dry and not with any kind of solvent . I used a small brush of course to produce those lines . This pigment can also be used for weathering . I used it instead of the traditional wash to give depth to the model .
Duncan B
That is very effective, probably the best squiggle cammo I've seen in 1/72. I was thinking of using grey artist's pens to create the same effect but it'll need some experimentation. Duncan B

phat trev
How do you get the rivets to be straight? (Guessing you use a metal rule perhaps?) Do you draw onto the parts where to engrave the rivets?
