IPMS19
- The beautiful Airfix kit with the equally beautiful transkit from ALLEY CAT...Scale 1/48 - Did you remmember this FAW 2 I built with the Dynavector vacu kit some monthes (years?) ago, this is now the the FAW 1 I built it using the A2ZEE transkit and I would like to congratulate and thanks Allister for his job with this transkit . - According to me it is THE transkit to be used by a modeller who wants to try his hand for the first time with resin transformation models. You just have to follow the notice and the things goes smoothly, no problems with assembly, the resin parts fit closely the plastics ones and a minimum putty is required if you follow the instructions you get it "fingers in the nose ". Bravo Ali......Heu please....If ever.... Think of an Aquilon from a Sea- Venom......... - And a bonus.....Enjoy my photospot.....
tonyot
Now that last photo is just rubbing it in isn`t it, not a factory chimney to be seen anywhere, plus the sun is out too!! You`ve got a couple of lovely Sea Vixen`s there and I`m looking forward to getting stuck into my own FAW.1 conversion too, Cheers Tony O Edited June 14, 2013 by tonyot
general melchett
Looking good old chap, I'm just finishing off one of these myself and must agree that Ali's done a great job on the conversion, it's very user friendly and certainly looks the part,

bunnylurve
Looking really good that one! Starting to think that the Airfix Sea Vixen is one of the most built kits on BM. Maybe I should build one???

IPMS19
Great build! Is that the Millau bridge in the last photo? Yours aye Iain -No ,it is a bridge on the A89 motorway, roughly midway between Bordeaux and Clermont-Ferrand 4miles behind TULLE, my living place. This bridge is situated in a low flying zone which attracts a bunch of Rafale,Mirage 2000 D/N and even Tornadoes.......

tonyot
Perhaps you`ve filed the pics within your Photobucket account since posting them here? I did this when Photobucket was turned upon its head to try and make them easier to find but as a result most of my pics posted on various threads ended up being removed. Great Sea Vixen! I was going to fold the wings on mine when I get around to it but after seeing your I may just keep them extended now. Cheers Tony O
IPMS19
-You may be right Tonyot, About folded wing Vixen I built this one from Dynavector a few years ago, It was one of my first post on BM http://i690.photobucket.com/albums/vv270/IPMS19/DE%20HAVILLAND%20SEA-VIXEN%20FAW%202/FAW%202/IMG_7446.jpg[/img]
