Redboost
Hi folks, this is the Zvezda kit built in about 24 hours during our club's regular "modelling weekend", starting on Friday at about 5 p.m. and finishing on Saturday at 4 pm (with about 5 hour sleep). The wheels are replaced with my own resin copy of Tamiya wheels and some interior parts were replaced with better shaped parts from home leftovers. The dust filters come from Heller kit and were little modified. The decals are from Rising Decal sheet "Deutsche über der Wüste" for EKdo 19 machine, Lybia, 1942.CheersLibor
Spitfire31
Very neat build! The sand in the tyre treads make a lot of difference. Kind regards, Joachim
Duncan B
Very nice, mine didn't turn out anywhere near as good (in fact I can feel a respray coming on!). Duncan B

Carts
The usually pugnacious "Shrike" looks really elegant in that paint scheme, lovely job.

Redboost
Thanks gents, appreciated! Tell us more about the modelling weekend, sounds like serious fun. Knockout butcher too, superb finish. We leave out of civilization for Friday-Sunday, taking along kits with stuff, good food and drinks (wifes, girlfriends and other disturbing elements must stay away:-). Here are couple of pictures to show the atmosfere (imagine that nice Gunze stuff smell (me in white shirt).CheersLibor
Duncan B
Ah now that looks like fun. One question though, I can see that you use many of the same items as I do but I am wondering what the glass of dark red stuff is? Is this stuff the magic ingredient that makes your models so good? How do I apply it and how much should I use per model? On a serious note how did you deal with the rather large step that Falkeins and myself both had between the front of the wing and the engine cowl on the underside. I had to use a lot of filler but yours looks to be perfect? Duncan B
Nigel Heath
Oh that's nice - it could easily be a much larger scale. Amazing build in two days. Nigel

Redboost
Thanks chaps! For Duncan: yes, there was a little step, but it was not so bad on my kit, so the front wing was only sanded down a little. (that red stuff was really good indeed:-) Cheers Libor
