Speedman
Built from the Frog kit, this was going to be a simple OOB build but then I got carried away... I detailed the cockpit, scribed the panel lines, corrected the undercarriage so it's a single leg like the real aircraft, moved the starboard front window nearer the door, moved (and accurized) the nose light and fitted the tow point. I decided to finish it in a "what if" operational scheme. Fun build! Edited June 10, 2013 by Speedman

Speedman
PS- Any chance of an underside view? Hi, I've not got any photos at the moment but to be honest it's just flat back. (apart from the skids).

Aeronut
If the allies had managed to establish advanced landing grounds on the Normandy beachead earlier we could well have seen Hotspurs wear D Day stripes. Early in 1944 some Canadian Spitfire sqns had experimented in towing the Hotspur with their Spits as a way of carrying fuel, spares, personnel rather than waiting for a boat. So your operational scheme isn't all that far fetched. Nice model BTW.
Mr T
Really nice build of an older kit, with a lot of work put in to revive the kit. Must admit I did not realise about the undercarriage so you live and learn. A very nice paint job.
