Whilst we're waiting - here are my previous Hornets in build order (all 72nd).

Airfix model as first service aircraft:

Decals didn't age well for this model.

Hasegawa CF-18A Cougars - after watching JETSTREAM a lot of times.

And that Airfix model repainted as a Blue Angel.

Well I've managed to get the canopy on and some paint. :coolio:

That stick up the exhaust is two of my bent arrows. :yikes:

And I know you will all ask - so I'm using this aerosol from a local pound shop.

Looking good, perhaps we can do a comparison on the paint I used Halfords Gloss Appliance White (other brands are available).

I've use Halfords previously, so have models like this ready to compare.

Good stuff, I have always had a love hate relationship with Prototype aircraft in kit form,

I generally prefer the "day to day" squadron schemes, but the Hornet prototype, along with the F-16, is now of real historical interest.

Good to see a book by the late Bill Gunston serving as your inspiration, I've a few of his books myself.

And the weapons fit.

Hope you've enjoyed - 'cos I have, but I'll concentrate on that Tornado now.
I'll post pics with that White Eagle at the weekend.
