Airfix WW2 bomber resuply

Has anyone had a chance of looking at the new airfix kit. WW2 bomber resuply. Is the fuel truck pulled by another truck for fighters not bombers? BoB model? Are the other veichels ok?

No sign of release yet, but I have signed up for stock notification when it eventually is. Hopefully before July,(my birthday), 'cause I really want that Tilly!

It looks good - the fuel trailer would normally be pulled by the tractor. The 15cwt truck would normally be to carry the crew out to the bomber, but was a general duty truck with very wide use by all services. It might be a little late in RAF use for the BoB, but was around at the time - this will depend upon whether it has a windscreen (late version) or not. From the picture on the Airfix website it does, but can easily be converted to an earlier one - rather depending upon how much work you want to do for the earliest ones have different side vents on the nose. We'll have to wait and see...unless someone has an advance copy and is prepared to talk?

And the towed bowser is for oil not fuel, so suitable for bomber surroundings.

I notice that the Standard Tilly is the early version with curved radiator (the change was some time in 1943, I think).

There is a Bedford MWC at Duxford that says TAF 83 on the back (from memory). Does this suggest that this water bowser is accurate for 2TAF on the continent?

Picked my box up at Halifax modellers world yesterday, it looks great.

Here is the problem for someone who only ever builds wingy things.

I can not comment on how accurate things are as I just don't know much about them, however I do have one question.

What colours should I paint the vehicles as airfix call for 29 Dark earth overall with 33 matt black camo,I don't think this looks right can anyone offer off the shelf alternatives that may be a better match?

Sorry for the ignorance if this is a simple enough question but I have never built anything other than aircraft and this is a first for me!
