Hi all way back in Dec 2011 I bought my first of the now numerous Dragon 1/200 Vulcans I have now built.

Back then the only boxing was the first blue steel one. this come with 2 options but i opted to do one that was not in the box options.

I did XH558 but i did not have the right bomb bay as the original kit comes with only blue steel options. nor did it come with the later tail as a choice so i did an approximate XH558 as best i could and made do with decals that i had found to suit it.

This is what she looked like back then.

Now thanks to the spares and options of the later Falklands boxing I've filled off the tail top and replaced with the new moulding repainted the tail and updated the decals and added the small stencils. then sealed over with satin varnish. she now looks much better I reckon.

She was initially brush painted with xtracrylix raf dark green and medium sea grey.

here she is today

Cheers John me and you seem to make Canberras and Vulcans like we have our own contract from the government. I wonder if there are any others on here who build lots of one type more than other birds,

I have posted 4 builds in one day today I have never done that before. cheers Rob :)

That's a very nice Vulcan Rob and I think that is check-mate. I'll get my :coat: .

ah i get it the chess board! lol i was not sure at first.

I seemed a more attractive thing to photograph on that the scruffy old clapped out table which looks like someones been trying out their belt sander on it

cheers Rob

Remarkable images, Rob ! Beautiful job on these extremely realistic photographs.

It sure is enjoyable to put a replica aircraft up into the air and make it look like it's really flying, isn't it ?

Mike

Hi mike thanks for checking this out and the others i thought you would appreciate it as i know your into photoshop stuff yourself.

I use GIMP its a great programme and completely free I recomend anyone wanting to have ago at photo manipulation to try it out its great.

It sure is really enjoyable to try and bring them to life doing this I really love it im particularly please with how these 1/200 vulcans are coming out and oddly enough because there smaller they look much more realistic in photo than the big ones as there the perfect size for the average distance we view the real vulcan at when shes flying in a photograph range. also because there light there very easy to place on a pen or similar held in place with a good dollop of blue tak.

I should try photographing them this way then stop motioning them now that would be something. haha.

cheers Rob
