FZ6
Here's a small secection of the photos I took at Derwent yesterday we got there early to ensure we got a parking space and after scouting a few locations we made the decision to walk up the hill it was tricky to compose a shot with the Lanc flying over the towers as she came over a bit higher than I thought she would but our viewpoint offered us a unique opportunity to photograph these aircraft at low level. Jabberwocky
You found an excellent vantage point, those shots are stunning. Thank you for posting. I wasn't confident of getting to a spot like that in time at Derwent without camping overnight, so went to Eyebrook instead. I'm sure everyone who saw this found it a very moving experience. FZ6
Thanks for the comments guys it was an impressive sight indeed. Wegot there for 5.00am as we were concerned about parking. We weren't the first to arrive an others had camped out overnight. In the end parking was a little better than last time and they let people park on double yellow lines on certain stretches of road to ease the parking issue but it wasn't long till the road was jam packed. Hope they do it again for the 75th Anniversary.....
