Jpthedog
Hopefully not too late for this one! Just completed my first GB, the 144 scale - thats my excuse! What to pick? - here was my bundle of floatplanes/amphibians to choose from. Didnt chose any of them - altoughthere are some great aircraft there! Instead went for the diminutive S6B Frog 1/72 - figuring time constraints just now wouldnt allow me to spend the time needed on the others - ie OKB Be-12. Obligatory sprue shots Box art Decals! No research done yet - just think the S6 is a lovely looking machine.
Doug Rogers
There's no complaints from me! Such an impressive machine. Have you seen the walkaround on primeportal : http://www.primeportal.net/hangar/mark_hayward/supermarine_s.6b_s1595/ Some great shots on there. From what I've heard this kit is better than the Airfix offering, certainly looks good from the sprueshots. Seperate control surfaces is good in a 1/72 kit. John P
Ok I can get cracking! The kit looks surprisingly 'crisp' for a 40 plus year old release. Fairly recent acquisition - wanted the 1/48 scale really. Thanks for the walk round link - will see if I can improve the kit in any way.
CliffB
Hi John and welcome to the Group Build. I've got the Chematic re-pop of this kit waiting in my stash, so I'll be watching with interest. Cliff
heloman1
Fantastic choice, I'm looking forward to your build pic. You have to go a long way to beat a well built Frog model. Colin
