Lawnguylander
Hacker, I dug out my issue, and the article doesn't cover converting one to the other- Paul Boyer built the ancient Revell TFX kit, and compares it side-by-side with the then-new Hasegawa F-111F. He points out differences, such as the pointy tips on the stab mounts, and the sharp edge to the fairing between the afterburner cans, which are longer on the TFX- Otherwise, PB's only modification to the old TFX kit were test boom instrumentation, (i.e., longer nose pitot), and raiding the decal dungeon fro appropriate prototype markings. He does not mention the fact that the rear MLG door on the TFX is horizontal, or, parallel to the ground, and is vertical on the production bird. You'd have to make this change yourself. If you are intent on making a conversion, i'm sure you can figure it out with the article- It's just not a step-by-step article, if that's what you were looking for.
