garryrussell
Hi Nige Yep the engines One day I want to see if I can cast some, but I'm between homes and health so all is on hold The FROG Viscount is not good. It was made for BEA to sell on the aircraft and later KLM bought time on the moulds. Both of course were to be sold in the usual range as well. The result seems to be a quick job rather than accurate as if it was planned out good enough but never refined, the thick props for example. Both airlines requested special marks as a part. The BEA version contained G-ABEA and the KLM had a reg that didn't exist. I have lengthened a fuse with the windows strips cut and one side has them repositioned still awaiting filler but that's as far as I got. The plans mentioned...I never checked them for size but as with the One-Eleven plans, they contain some silly errors that throw the whole plan into doubt. Miggers
If anyone I know knows about Viscounts(or most Classic British airliners for that matter), then it's the one and only Garry Russell. If some one can do me a good drawing of said engines with the correct scale dimensions, I'll ask at work if one of the boys could possibly do me a couple of masters,an inner and an outer engine..... garryrussell
Hi Mark All four engines are the same as it's a case of replacing the straight piece on the front of each engine. I'll see if I can sort something else after I came back from a trip to Finland I'm dreading next week
