jetboy
HI,whilst im a little bit bored of mainstream kits at the moment,im working my way through martin,s quite extensive catalogue of pre design ,prototypes, and real rockets, most of these variations were planned, before the saturn V was picked,...so there is more than one way to get too the Moon? A bit about the kit... Resin kit to build the proposed Apollo Saturn C3 Launcher. Prior to the selection of the Lunar Orbit Rendezvous Mission Mode the C3 was planned to be used to assemble a Lunar Lander in Earths orbit, supplanting the earlier C2 design when the weight of the Apollo Spacecraft grew to large for the smaller booster to launch. This in turn was cancelled when the C5 Saturn V was selected. The kit includes the S1 stage with two F1 engines, the S-11-4 second stage with four J-2 engines, S-1V stage, Apollo spacecraft, the instrument unit and spacecraft adaptor and decals with a total 33 resin parts. cheers Don
