siamese Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Need help from the Tiger Tank I experts here. I have Dragon's #6252 Initial Production kit and was looking at what is out there for AM items. I came across Aber and know I will need a set of screens for the grilles but was wondering if anyone has any knowledge of Aber set #AB35177? Also was looking at maybe going with a set of Friul model tracks ATL-116 for it. Also is there any problems or corrections a person has to do with the kit? Dan
AngloSaxon Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Hi Dan,There is a list (quite considerable) of corrections at David Byrden's website here: Dragon 6252 Of course, it is entirely your choice if you want to make all the corrections, they are merely there to point out what would make it very accurate (some people would look at the list and mutter 'rivet counter' whilst walking away most likely ). I have no personal experience of the Aber set so maybe someone who has will offer some information. Mike D.
siamese Posted April 20, 2013 Author Posted April 20, 2013 Mike, Thanks for the info and the link. I did read thru all the corrections and some of them I will use and some not it depends if I open a hatch or not or put the snokel on it. A lot of the corrections are very easy to do it looks like. I think some of the Aber Photoetch will correct some issues but until I get all the AM I need and look at it not sure yet. I have had this kit for a while and when I picked up Michael Rinaldi book called Tank Art I dug the kit out and want to do a paint scheme like what he did the gray color.
