Tim T
I am in the process of building the above, which is the new boxing with the single piece wing. What is bugging me is that two of the options on the decal sheet are for TRAM equipped aircraft and the painting and decalling guide shows this in place. Guess what? There is absolutely no mention of the parts for this in the instructions or any clue as to the fact they are required for two of the options. The instructions are, I have to say, utter pants. Mind you, the fit in places in not much better either....Still we are modellers and a bit of old fashioned skill, filler and swearing goes a long way! Can anyone shed any light on the TRAM parts, or even if they are in the box?
Parabat
Off the top of my head, the airbrakes would be the 'smooth' type (no holes) and they'd be closed. Also, most telling, would be the chin pod here.
Stephen
The TRAM turret parts are H21 and H22 along with H32 (x 2) .H21 is for the unstowed pod and H22 for the stowed position. The pod is shown on the instructions for the A-6E boxing K48023 but not for the A-6A/E issue. Parabat
My apologies, I thought all were of the smooth variety.
Tim T
Thanks chaps. I will go hunting for the relevant parts. I went smooth air brakes as the references I had showed this to be the case. Sacrilege I know but wanted to do a low-vis scheme rather than the classic scheme just because they get so flipping dirty.

Steve McArthur
A-6A rebuilt as A-6E's would still have the speed brakes with holes. New build A-6Es wouldn't. Attached is a link to one where you can clearly see the holes and the TRAM turret. http://www.airport-data.com/images/aircraft/large/000/070/070300.jpg
