Bonhoff
Next up - Crown's Mustang. My plan is to do it as Chuck Yeager's "Glamorous Glenn III" to go alongside my Dragon Bell X-1 Considering it's meant to be an old kit - surprisingly it has engraved panel lines. First job of painting once it had been primed was to do the yellow/red chequered nose. Gone for the impressionist effect rather than try and mask it out. Bonhoff
Bit more progress whilst waiting for things to dry on Eagles and Swallows.... Vallejo Aluminium airbrushed over Citadel Codex Grey primer - Detail Painting in Tamiya or Vallejo. One query I do have is with regards to the anti glare panel in front of the cockpit - The reference I'm looking at shows it as black but I keep seeing everything else painted up as Olive Drab. Please correct me now before I commit a colour Faux Pas
thorfinn
Lovely work so far. One query I do have is with regards to the anti glare panel in front of the cockpit - The reference I'm looking at shows it as black but I keep seeing everything else painted up as Olive Drab. Please correct me now before I commit a colour Faux Pas Could realistically be either, but the prevailing opinion of the photo-interpreters seems to come down on the olive drab side. Bonhoff
Thorfinn - Thanks for that - I've changed it to OD now. Bit more progress as well. Prop and canopy still need glueing on and then I think that's as far as I can take it without having 1/144 scale serial numbers to hand.
Bonhoff
Completed - Until I can sort out some serial numbers at least...... Will post some more in the gallery later along with my other Yeager themed aircraft.....
