Info on F-104 chaff and flare dispensers

Hi All

I am trying to find some information on the chaff and flare dispensers applied to the tail of Italian F-104 at the end of their service.

Does anybody have any info on size? a 3 view drawing would be marvellous.

I am almost certain these are the same chaff dispensers as fitted to the former RnethAF NF-5A/Bs just that the ones on the F-104Gs have a backing plate.

Somebody recently did a 1/48th NF-5A and it has the chaff dispensers in the kit might be something to work on.

Thanks a lot for the info, I forgot to add the plane I want to do is in 1/72. but pictures from the F-5 kit would be a very nice starting point as you said.

Paolo,

if you're working in 1/72 scale, the KLU NF-5 dispensers can be found in the old (but lovely) Esci F-5A kit.
