tonyot
To be honest I cannot get too excited about Hasegawa releases anymore because even if I want the subject I know full well that I cannot afford it anymore! I`d love a Sea King HAR.5 but at the prices that the (long awaited) British Sea Kings have been going for lately, it is just a no go and I know two good local model shops which have stopped ordering Hasegawa because of the over steep prices, Cheers Tony O 1

It is of course a very subjective issue and down to personal choice. But, like you, I simply cannot afford the OTT prices much as I may like the subjects. thx6667
Cue complaints about the price, cue moral outrage, cue people blaming Hasegawa as if they sit around a table in Shizouka City cackling at how the Brits can't afford these kits, and... action! pacificmustang
just preordered this from HLJ. It comes in at AUD48, which I think is very reasonable, especially when you consider the original USN boxing was selling for AUD90!!!! Bruce

No Jonathan, I`m just stating what I feel about the release of this kit and explaining my reasoning for not buying one despite my liking of the subject,.....end of! I couldn`t give a monkeys about the Hasegawa people personally. My Grandad always said that I should never buy anything Japanese anyway as he fought in Burma and hated the lot of them! Seems a reasonable thing to express an opinion about a probable very expensive kit.
Parabat
Why is it always 'have a pop at Hasegawa for their prices'? Let's talk abour the kit. If you aren't going to buy it, then there's no need to tell everyone and drag the price issue into it to have a chunter at Hasegawa.Personally, if people took half the time they spent moaning and handwringing about the prices, as searching online or at a show, they'd find them for a lot less than RRP.It'll be good to see the sprues on this and see what mods they've made to bring it into line. Cheers Tony And I was being a touch tongue in cheek. But if I were to be serious for a moment, you're stating a reason based on a reaction to a single price. Strikes me these days there's a misplaced sense of entitlement that folk want a kit now and a price that suits them personally, and if its not then its off to the forums to express their malcontent at the unfairness of it all. As Parabat says, if people were to shop around they may find a price more to their liking. Takes little if anymore effort than posting to a forum. Just sayin'.
