Never saw that programme, although the trailers always looked quite funny!

You should make the effort Doug, it's fantastic. If only it were true to life!

I think what rattled my cage about this topic and what started me down the "its censorship" route is the "appeal to the moderators" attitude of the OP, as opposed to "appeal to the manners of people who behave like berks". The latter I will applaud wholeheartedly - people need to behave themselves in a public forum. This does not need the moderators to get involved except in extreme cases. That is where the sentiments of the OP got my back up, apealing to the authority figures on the forum.

Anyway, I think everything that could be said has been said so I'll stfu now and go rub some resin... :clown:

It's the t'internet... all those non-verbal communication signs are lost, so misunderstanding is perhaps easy. I agree wholeheartedly that the thrust of the thread's OP was that dunderheads should be encouraged to stop behaving like buffoons, and most people will heartily agree. The "censorship" rallying call was a red-herring latched onto by a few and not let go of, despite OP's protestations. The only people that would disagree that eejits should stop acting like halfwits are perhaps the nitwits themselves, and those that are a little left of sane, who perhaps enjoy arguing or watching people argue, which is a position that I don't think I'll ever understand.

I think this thread has run its course, and is starting to get repetitive now. Time for it to shuffle off before tempers really do get frayed. The thread drift about Dr Who can be spoken about in the Entertainment section, so please feel free to start another topic there. :)

Peace out :fuhrer:
