mattmeister
Hello, I am 18 years old and this is my first build of a model tank. It has been built out of the box as number 131, but has had some weathering done to the tracks. The first few pictures are of the tank and the others are with the Tamiya tank crew at rest added to it. I hope you like it. Comments are welcome. Thank you. AngloSaxon
Nice clean build for your first tank Matt. Hope you don't take offense, but for your next build, why not have a go at expanding the weathering from just the tracks? I'm sure you'll be able to do it and the difference will make you smile . Mike.

mattmeister
Thanks for the comments. Mike, I was thinking about weathering the rest, but I didn't want to ruin it!! Maybe next time... Matthew

mattmeister
Thanks for all the comments, they are much appreciated. I do fancy having a go at a Panther, but have already got a Dragon 8 ton half track and Tamiya 88mm gun ready to build, so will see how they turn out first. Cheers Matthew

Hamden
Great job for a first attempt, looks just like 131. One small comment thou a little ground work would finish it off in my opinion Roger
mattmeister
Thanks for the great comments. Roger, I might add a bit of groundwork in the future, but it was just a bit of wood I found to take pictures! Turns out it is just the right shape for the tank! wingnut
Great job , far better than my first attempt! a book that really helped me when I first got back into the hobby was 'Modelling tanks and military vehicles' by Sheperd Paine. You can pick it up second hand for around £15 on amazon and is great for learning about weathering and presenting your models
foxy
Nice build Mathew . You could spray the figures to take away the shine with matt varnish. Love those tracks and weathering. All looking very nice for your first build.
