This is my first ship model, It's Trumpeter's 1/200th Scale USS Arizona depicted around the time of her demise December 1941. The model has the excellent MKI PE and Wooden Deck set, She is painted with WEM Enamels (which takes me back!)

Hope you like her, the build thread is here :- http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234932941-1200-arizona-actually-done/

Here are the pictures.

A lovely piece of work Nick.

As Dan says, I see something different each time I look at it.

All the best.

Chris.

She is absolutely beautiful, I would love to do a model of the Arizona as her story is the one that moves me the most about Pearl Harbor and the fact that she is still there.

Nice job on this.

As I said before, you have done an amazing job on this build. The patience alone with the photoetch is a technique that most wouldn't even attempt on a scale this size. It was a pleasure to follow in the last weeks of the build.

Cheers,

My congrats to Nick.

There are four small frets of figures with the kit, but they are a bit indistinct so I decided against them. I may rethink later, but I'm all 1/200th-ed out at the moment anyway and in dire need of some proper 1/32 flying things to get my sanity back.

Really quite nice, that. It's the first time I've been able properly to take in the spatial relationships of all the structures and realise just how much clutter all those boats create ...

Thanks for all the kind comments everyone. Succumbed to cabin fever today on account of being snowed in and ordered an acrylic case for her, bloody hell, they ain't cheap are they.

I'll put some fotos up when it arrives in a couple of weeks.
