rs2man
I suspect that's the original Hasegawa F-4E , which dates back to circa 1972 . It has raised panel lines and is pretty much what you'd expect for a Hasegawa kit of that era . Still builds into a nice model , though not exactly full of detail . theplasticsurgeon
Very probably the same plastic as this Phantom that I built in 2008.http://s362974870.onlinehome.us/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=148785Reasonable for its day, it has been overtaken since. I did comment on a bad joint - but underneath. Edited March 17, 2013 by theplasticsurgeon
XV571
Yes, that's the earlier F-4E retooled to have slatted wings (the original 'hard wing' boxing had Vietnam era or Thunderbirds markings). I bought that version many years ago to use the decals on a Fujimi F-4G as it was then the only way to get a 52 TFW F-4 in Euro 1. It's typical of a late 70's kit and, at the least, needs aftermarket seats - the ones in the kit are more like armchairs . I think that the centre tank is actually better shape-wise than that found in the later kits.

Jens
The decals are useful (and the SJ option is interesting). That's about the only positive thing I can say about that kit. Jens
Dr Evil
The SJ decals are great and as far as I'm aware, not avauilable anywhere else. Nice piccie of the a/c in the D&S on the F-4E/G - shame the flame markings weren't included on Afterburners SJ sheets.
