Re-birth of a Phantom

Recommended Posts

Incredible Phantom refurb, spot on and a great talent. Takes me all my time to do an original, never mind a strip down and repaint. Never knew you could strip down the paint job with something like Mr Muscle oven cleaner, you learn something new everyday.

I'm reminded of many Hornets, Phantoms, and Tomcats I've seen come out of re-work with corrosion repaired, worn parts replaced, and fresh strip & repaint.

How did you manage to keep the stripper out of the cockpit?

Been away on business trip - sorry for delay in responding. I packed the cockpit with wet tissue and that worked a treat - totally protected.
