Sometimes I found a lonly picture in thr net or in a book shows a Fokker E III with british roundels or a Albatros with the same markings, or a Hannover....

Unfortunately no more information about these interesting planes.

Is there anywhre a good resource inthe net or a book about this topic?

Thanks in advance.

Not specifically, although there is a fair bit about many of them in the appropriate Windsock publications. It is a special interest of mine, so I can help with some of it! Got quite a few images

The EIII was E210/15, now preserved in the Science Museum - I've only ever seen two photo of it in British markings, one side on and this one here: http://images.rcuniverse.com/forum/upfiles/55790/Hf99476.jpg

Albatros - you are almost spoilt for choice, as the British had D1, II, III, and multiple V and Va examples

You also have Hannover, Fokker DVII, EV, DFW, Pfalz etc etc, even some Gotha GVII and Friderichshafen bombers

To give details of publications on two Albies:

DVa D5390/17 Some details on this plane, now refurbished/rebuilt and preserved in Australia - Albatros Scouts Described, Charles Schaedel, Kookaburra Technical Publications, 1970.

DVa D7161/17, fully rebuilt and displayed at the Smithsonian, detailed description of the rebild - Famous Aircraft of the National Air and Space Museum, Volume 4, Robert C. Mikesh, Smithsonian Institution Press, 1980, ISBN 0-87474-633-7

Hi guys,

thanks, that's all are very helpfull.

Before I found a pic from a Fokker Triplane in the web.

Only the information "captured".

The plane is full in geman markings, anybody know more about this plane and what about the markings, changed to roudels?

Pheon models released a sheet of captured aircraft markings in 1/48 and 1/32 at the Nationals last year.

I don't remember what was on them, but if you get in touch with Rowan I'm sure he'll let you know.

The only Triplane that I know of painted in roundels was a French one (which seems to have had five colour camo as well). None of the British captured Triplanes seem to have been given RFC roundels or test flown
