Will Vale
Shall be watching with interest. It seems (from the box) to be pretty big even in 1/144, but the prop makes it look deceptively small. It could probably eat my LCAC for breakfast Will

Jpthedog
Like the Ekranoplan, after seeing the preserved example in Moscow. Dont often see the kit for sale either. The Caspian Sea Monster is a similar and suitably named machine used for skimming the waves at high speed with troops and equipment on board - beast! swordfish fairey
Here it is all laid out in it's unmade glory and I'm just about to make a start. I'm not sure yet if I am going to build it as a "flying" model or at rest......... Smudge
swordfish fairey
A start has been made and when I come to fit the nose intakes the fit is so bad I cut the nose off at the hinge point. After a lot of filling, filing and sanding a nice smooth intake shape has appeared. Heat shields for the jet exhaust added too. The rest of the fuselage has had some detailing, all in all it's gone together very well. Just hung the nose back on for effect... More soon..............Smudge
swordfish fairey
It's all together and had it's obligatory coat of Halfords primer. I have decided to mount it in "flying" mode as per a picture I found on the net. Smudge

Not a lot to hang about with Will, as there are so few bits to it (40).......Thanks for the nice comments, it is an ugly bug isn't? but strangely attractive... The Caspian Sea Monster is a similar and suitably named machine used for skimming the waves at high speed with troops and equipment on board - beast! The kit turns up on ebay fairly regularly . Zvezda are releasing the A-90 in 1/144 this April. I suspect it's the Revell kit re boxed. Not that I mind! I've been trying to get a couple of these for ages. Always seem to miss out. Great "what if " potential! Allan

swordfish fairey
Almost there after it has had pre shade and a coat of Xtracolor grey, The decals are a bit on the thick side, but plenty of Micro-sol has got them down and stuck alright. I need to give it a good dulling down and then finish the detailing..................Smudge
