Duncan B
Nice work Libor. I have the MPM V1 to finish off when I get home, I've gone for a plain aluminium finish for the spinner though. I've got a few of the Avis kits in the stash too, seems to be the best way to get a decent A-D model 109. I look forward to seeing the book. tonyot
Hiya Libor, I`m not normally `into' German aircraft but these are lovely and I do like the last one, which decals did you use as I quite fancy doing that one, is that Malta being bombed in the insignia on the rear fuselage, which would make it a `Jabo' from JG 53 while based in Sicily? If so I`ve never seen one in these colours. All the best Tony
bunnylurve
Hey Libor, great builds mate. Love the 109A. Did you add the rivets yourself?
Navy Bird
As usual, more great work from Libor! Beautiful stuff, all! Did you get an early copy of the Airfix E Tropical, or did you convert the E when it first came out? Cheers, Bill
Redboost
Thanks for comments chaps! Duncan, I just followed that known picture of V1 with running engine without any marking, and I guess the spinner's tip seems to be darker, so I went for two color option. Heya Tony, actually it is Africa continent under the bomb and the machine is from ZG1, Libiya. The decals are from excellent Rising Decals sheet : http://www.risingdecals.com/hlavni_strana_A.htm Bunnylurve, yes, I added the rivets by myself, but only on wing and front fuselage. The rear fuselage was completely filled in on this plane. Bill, it is the "tropical" boxing, with couple of aftermarkets added, the AML propeller set being the most useful. Cheers Libor Hi Libor Yes I know the picture well (strange that there doesn't appear to be anybody in the cockpit?), I've only ever seen 3 or 4 pictures of the V1and its markings are slightly different in each picture considering it had such a short life! I had thought I was going to go with the civil registration and red tail band but seeing how I already have the V3 in markings like that and your V1 looks so good "naked" I think I'll follow your example and do it without the marking as per that photo, hope you don't mind. What colour did you use for the J88 machine (another can of worms)? I have an Bertha that I am finishing as 6-21 and have been struggling to get a grey that I thought looked right. Redboost
Hi Duncan yes, I was little puzzled with the marking variations, so I went straight for clean, undisturbed maiden livery. So good luck with yours! The 6-10 in this scheme was apparently painted in RLM63(most probably) / RLM65 as the photos show freshly repainted machine afer overhaul (variable pitch propeller, later style undercarriage covers...), probably at the time it was handed over to Spanish Air Force. For RLM63 I went for my mix of light grey with few drops of RLM02. Cheers Libor

Unfortunately I couldn't make my mind up initially having painted it Pollyscale RLM63 which looked too light I then went for a Tamiya light grey but I'm still not happy with it. I've ordered the book after having seen your builds here so am looking forward to having a read through it. Duncan B
