Now I'm sure that some know this well, but it might be worth to add a word of warning for anyone interested in this kit: the MiG-25 in 1/48 is BIG ! Be ready to clear the shelves from a few other models or build a new one. The completed model will look impressive !

This Foxbat, and the forthcoming recce Voodoo, are likely to tempt me back into 1/48 scale for a few months. Really nice to see the big Soviet fighter done properly! Hope Kittyhawk do an RB recce-strike version before long. Looks like a Foxbat to me despite what the critics say!

The stories of F-4s varying by a metre in length are a bit absurd, so I wonder where they originated? The F-15 had a degree of interchangeability as parts were cut by computer-controlled machine giving much tighter tolerances. Nowadays, of course, that type of precision may be assumed.

Screw the box art! It's only a painting. They could show the nose painted red & the rest of the aeroplane in McGregor tartan for all I care! Get me to the CONTENTS!!

The HU-16 boxart bashing was because of the environment in which the subject is depicted and the scene. The situation is different here as the remarks are about the subject itself. The Jaguar A boxart replicated the paint directions and shape anomalies. Situation is the same here. Probably because the boxart is entirely based on a CAD model snapshot and kit paint directions.

This is one of the few kits due out I want that isn't in an Airfix box so hoping it's an accurate one. Going to need a big shelf for the brute.

It's got to be better than the Revell kit so I want one, or several. NOT buying it if they do the McGregor Tartan version though. The company that made McGregor Tartan Spray cans went bust and I just finished my last can! :banghead:

Mate of mine called Eddy actualy had a pot of acryllic three-tone dessert camo paint! God knows how he did it but it worked great on his Warhammer 40K figures!

First pics of the MiG-25 test shot along the one of the F-1CT.

Assuming all of the dark colored pieces are intended to have multiple variations, you will have the possibility for different wingtips for the different types of mass balances and the different length wings (Rs had shorter wings than Ps), you could also have different vertical tails to account for the different sensor panels on the leading edges and tips (multiple variations among Rs and Ps), then there are different noses and sides to the intakes depending on sub variant, so, it appears Kittyhawk may have a bunch of variants in mind and tried to segment to give the greatest volume of common parts. http://s362974870.onlinehome.us/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=261992&st=100
