Anyone want to buy a 1/48 FM kit...LOL

There's one on Ebay USA with a starting price of $150 USD at the moment...

Seriously, that's great news about a new 1/48 Magister. A new 1/48 Alpha Jet and now a 1/48 Magister... :speak_cool:

These new kits are good news !

No Norman ! These new kits are NOT good news !!!

  • I can't print money fast enough to buy them
  • I'm having to take roof tiles off to fit the new kits in the loft
  • My dining-room table is looking like an aircraft boneyard - full of part-built kits that I've lost interest in...............because of the new kits.

You and me both Mike, and despite best intentions not to get one, some git will release a decal sheet of exotic users which will mean I need to buy a few....

Wanna go halves on a case?

I have an FM kit for sale/swap if anyone is ''desperate''

These new kits are good news !

I had the CM-175 (Zephyr) version for yonks before I finally managed to get hold of the proper CM-170 (Irish Air Corps) version... so I also have a 'spare' FM kit but will give it a bash (despite the scare stories) and still get one of these new one (or two should they prove to be good)

I hope Max decals is going to do a new sheet with IAC decals, also could do with the International Magisters sheet coming out in 1.48 as well!

You know you want to Joe :goodjob:

A 1/48 sheet featuring Irish Air Corps Fougas will definitely happen. Have a look at my forthcoming 1/72 scale sheet which should be ready for Telford. I'm open to suggestions as to what other options I should include on the 1/48 scale sheet. Not everything on the 1/72 sheet will make it on to the 1/48 scale one.

Cheers,

Joe

Facing the soon arrival from the Kinetic Fouga Magister (in January 2014?), AMK strikes back publishing several CADs and the mould lay out from its own project. Really attractive isn't it? I'll be very difficult to choose between these two future Fouga kits.

It looks as if this kit is going to be of similar or better quality than their first - the IAI Kfir C2, in which case I will have no hesitation in saying that I will almost certainly opt for this kit over the Kinetic version. The Avantgarde Kfir is a far simpler kit ( in terms of parts breakdown) than the Kinetic and whilst the latter is also very good, I think the Avantgarde kit has the edge. It appears to be a similar story with the Fouga Magister but the proof, of course, will only be obvious when we open the respective kit boxes !.
