MPaul
Thought I would join in this GB, with a cheap and cheerfl HobbyCraft F15 Eagle Kit. Its a very simple little kit, with few instructions, and few decals. Only cost a couple of quid, so figured I would give it a go.
Dazzio
Oo... surprised you haven't entered this into the F-15 GB mate?? Good luck with this one, I've not seen much from Hobbycraft, except for an B-2 that I have. Don't think much can go wrong with this one mate. Kind Regards, Dazz

Kind Regards, Dazz I was considering entering it into both, but wasnt sure if that was allowed. If it goes together ok, may get another and enter that into the F15 GB
MPaul
So while some paint on the Spitfire dries, I made a start on this The fit is quite bad if honest, but it was only £2.99. Will try and sort the worst bits before painting, i still think it will end up looking like an F15 though, so all good.
MPaul
Done some more, hope to have this completed tomorrow, possibly day after: Further progress, bar landing gear, canopy, and missiles, its assembled. I had to file down the locating point that connects the nose to main body, as it wouldnt fit in the gap. Filler was also needed at the seam, and I have had to sand the seam running the centreline of the nose section as there was a noticeable step when they were joined. Just need to decide on a colour scheme for this now, and see if its possible to steal some decals from a 1/72 kit, and do a What If? scheme. MPaul
Well got some paint on it.Its going to be totally fictional, so that is why it looks as it does. Think its going to be a tail sitter as well. Edited March 2, 2013 by MPaul
MPaul
Gloss coat on ready for decals. Its a totally made up designation, as the kit decals are so bad its unbelievable, so have just made up some from spares from an F5As you can see, UC is fitted too

MPaul
Thanks, loving the whole squadron you have in the making!! Well, got the missiles painted and fitted today. There are no pylons for them, so they are stuck using CA to the fuselage directly. Looks ok, not perfect, but it will do without making pylons.
